Moving House

Mrs Hoff started the move.

Can't read what she's thinking? Click here.

I noticed the boxes we were using had once held something entirely different...was it a bad omen?

So, a five minute journey down to the end of Tran Khac Chan, over the small bridge, and we're home -- Mieu Noi apartments.

The thing I love about this place is the view. From our place, up on the 16th floor, we have an unobstructed view over District 1, District 3, and other areas of the city.. Here's my map of the D1 skyline as seen from chez moi (or check the larger size here).

And finally, the sunset over the city.

John and Chi,
Congratulations on your move up in the world. Welcome to Q. Phu Nhuan -- a little closer to our place.

Saigon is small. I work just behind your building.

Hey Mel,
Thanks for the message - but actually it's in Binh Thanh. I was convinced it was Phu Nhuan as well, in fact, it was probably me who told you it was PN come to think of it!
Eliot. Who do you work for?

Congratulations on the new place. It seems you guys definitely have a beautiful view of the city! Reminds me again that my heart is in Vietnam, and my shell of a body continues the hum drum life in the states.

(like the boxes ;)

RManon, certianly true about the lifts. I'm more worried about a power cut when I'm IN the lift. Always a possibility.

Great view. My wife and I live in Tan Binh in a small one room but are looking to rent a house or bigger apartment. Do you mind telling me how much you pay for that apartment?

Brain, don't live there any more but at the time it was $350 per month, and that was definitely the top end of the scale for the building.

Congratulations. Have you hired some professionals to get shifted or you have managed on your own. Its a hectic process and I prefer to hire professionals.

This seems to be great site for home moving companies Austin Movers it provides rental trucks for moving where we can select the best one out of them for saving your time and money. I had been relying on http://heartoftexasmoving.com earlier and they too offered good stuff.

I went through countless blogs, each different in its own way, but by far this blog is far better than the rest. In both content and design, really good job in keeping it up.
