The Soccer Prince series started in China with over 130 million viewers according to the KW website.
I spoke to one of the lads from Kick Worldwide and I asked if he thought Vietnamese players could make it in European football. He said:
The view from Frank (director) and Steve (coach) was that technically a couple of the boys are looking very promising.The problem we face is whether the Soccer Prince lads have the desire. It is a great prize but Brownie is concerned that they don't live and breathe football as much as their English counterparts. This could be down to cultural differences and maybe they are holding back their true feelings, I guess time will tell.It's an interesting point and makes you remember that issues outside of sheer ability will often effect any chance of success in sport. It would be interesting to follow the progress of these teenage Vietnamese boys as they live and train in the UK with professional football clubs. I wonder if they'll be setting up blogs...?!

Unfortunately the company behind this, Kickworldwide Ltd, has gone into administration so I hope the Vietnam boys in Liverpool will be ok
