Ok, some randomness here that has been captured on camera.
First up, the yellow Ferrari. Spotted this baby around a few times. Saw an orange Porsche Boxter the other day on highway one.
Next, a bizarre chunk of some part of the city floating down the canal.
This is just plain odd. From Vung Tau.
A quaint little picture also from Vung Tau.
I missed photo opportunities of the garbage truck stuck on the side of the canal and a man who was bathing naked in the canal (although probably no one wants to see that).

the Ferrari seems so out of place. I wonder how much they paid for it considering Vietnamese taxes on cars is astronomical.
That looks like a Lamborghini.
probably right...I looked at the Lamborghini site. Could be this one : http://www.lamborghini.com/2006/lamboSitenormal.asp?lang=eng
A Gallardo. Current U.S price ranges from $186,000 - $250,000. Depending on time of import, tax would have been 50%-90%.
yeah there were two yellows when i spotted em.
i doubt they paid the taxes... u are friends with the party if you have enough money to buy that.
omg, someone was bathing in the canal?? yeesh, you'd be wary of catching skin-eating bacteria in there... god some day vn will be better for its people i hope.
So if they are lucky, the driver of that Lamborghini might get up to 80 kilometers per hour some place in Viet Nam. Seems like a waste to have such a car in this country where there is no room to open it up. But I guess its show value might be worth it.
Wow, what is a Lambo doing in Saigon? That is so strange. I've seen some strange stuff in Saigon before but this one take the cake. What next a Bentley?
Cool, interesting (really weird) pics. Thanks for posting jon!
There are at least 2 Bentleys here, along with a Rolls Royce (Bentley and Rolls owned by the Khai Silk owner). I've also seen a BMW M6, Acura NSX, Porsche Carrera, Audi RS8. Seen the Lambo a few times and heard it go by my house in D7 at over 100mph.
I am sure I have seen a red ferrari kicking around too. Just seen another bentley tonight in the centre thats at least 2 I have seen, one with Dong Nai plates the other with a Saigon number. I give them a wide birth when am driving, as much as it daft driving them in this city I don't want to be one who puts a scratch down them.
The Tsunami poster is a photoshop masterpiece, it least they are all running in the same direction, sort of.
You had a big problem with the canal next to your old apartment. yuk! It extremely stinks, doesn't it?
Really, it's a nice posting. Very good solution for solving traffic jam.
